I am off to Nottingham, England for the next 3 months…
 
As of July 15th I will be leaving Las Vegas. I will miss all of my friends, musicians, the fans… you have always supported me here. I am blessed. There is a lot of talent in this little town, and a lot of it I will miss, but as I post in my daily tarot readings… change is the only constant, and change is always good.
 
I will be coming back briefly in October before heading out on the MegaCruise in California and from there? I’m not sure… wherever the wind blows me.
 
The only thing I know for certain is that I will be in the English countryside writing lyrics, clearing my head, and getting ready for the new band to explode onto the scene.
 
The new band is called Alchemy Fire which consists of Paul Wright (Deezl), Tom Schofield (Oppressor, Soil), DieTrich Thrall (Beauty In The Suffering, Lords of Acid), and yours truly. We’ve talked about getting a second guitar player, as well as a keyboard player so start sending us your EPKs.
 
There is a lot of talent and a lot of drive in these guys, so I am looking forward to fronting this exceptional line-up.

Two of Swords

Welcome to the Full Moon in Sagittarius. Today’s card is the two of Swords.

Today is a new beginning if you choose it to be. The 2 of Swords is asking us to rise above it all, take a new stance, a new perspective on things. When we do this, looking at things as a third party, we are no longer emotionally attached nor does the outcome cause us any concern. Life still continues.

There are always challenges in life, there will always be conflicts. It’s how we look and act upon them that makes the difference.

This Full Moon is asking us to take a different step, a bold step into a new future. It’s scary, I’m sure, but isn’t it exciting as well?

Today, focus on something that has concerned you, then rise above it, look around it, and do your best to see it in a new light, because today is about being at peace. Stop fretting over things because you think you ‘have to’. Remember what I’ve said in the past? There are no ‘have to’s’, there are only ‘get to’s’

Three of Wands

Today’s card is the 3 of Wands. The Lord of Virtue.

I had to seriously meditate on this card today. I needed to be alone to really dig deep, to focus on what I really want, where I needed to be, and how I was going to get there.

With all of the tools in my arsenal I got busy and started focusing on my new life. What does it look like? Is it an old house covered by vines with trees all around? A brook running through the front yard? Do you see a dog chasing birds in the back yard? Who is with you? What do they look like?

When creating your perfect life you have to get down to the finest detail using all 6 of your senses; hearing, seeing, smelling, touching, tasting, and your intuition, or third eye.

Why am I doing this?

The full moon in Sagittarius is tomorrow. This is, as all full moons, powerful. It’s a moon of change. We have the option now to recreate our whole lives or we can stay where we are, where we’ve always seemed to repeat ourselves, saying we are going to make changes, but never ‘really’ changing. Only changing relationships, or location… not changing ourselves. Not living up to our full potential.

So, when you are getting down to the fine details of what your life will look like, is it that? Changing relationships and locations? Or is it changing you? Rewriting those neural pathways to where you are thinking in a brand new way?

Who are you? I really want to know. Not the Facebook you. The real you.

Dig deep and rewrite your story. I’m sure it will be a best seller.

Knight of Cups

Today’s card is the Knight of Cups.
See the rose in front of him? He follows his heart, even when he knows it could be the end of something that he might be comfortable with. Comfort or discomfort do not matter to the heart. What matters is the focus of where it intends to be.
A few years back a friend of mine talked to me about the trine. The head, the heart, and the stomach. Since that time I’ve done my best to put it into practice. Most folks never get past their head, shutting it down. Some never get past their heart and sabotage things because of how they feel. Others follow their gut but don’t have any understanding why they are doing what they are doing.
We need to use all 3.
When something is presented to us, use your head to analyze it, get a good idea of what it’s about, then move to your heart. Sit with it for a day if you must. How does it feel? What scares you about it? What excites you about it? Next, what does your gut say? They refer to the gut as our second brain because there are just as many synapses and energy moving in there as the brain, but the gut has more of an ‘ethereal sense’ than the brain. Now, I’m no scientist, but I would bet that the gut is very much attached to our third eye.
So, after analyzing with your brain, then feeling it with your heart, concentrate on what your gut concludes it with. It might be perfectly rational to your brain, and your heart might be overflowing with excitement, but if your gut concludes that something just doesn’t sit right, follow that gut feeling. It never works when disregarding your gut instinct.
Try it out for a test run. I’d love to hear what you come up with.

Temperance

It’s Friday! Today’s card is Temperance. This is all about balance and acceptance.

This is a very important card. It is telling us that living a spiritual life is important but at the same time, we are human, and the human condition… although perfect in one aspect can also seem cruel and unforgiving. This is why it is important for us to keep our toes in the sand as well as in the water, so to speak. To be grounded even though we want to escape and run away.

Temperance is taking a deep breath with each punch and telling ourselves that each blow we’ve received was essential for our growth, but not to over analyse (anal eyes). All too often when we get hit, the wind knocked out of us… we want to know ‘why?’ What did we do to deserve this? Instead of going into analysis paralysis, acknowledge that it happened and then move forward. When we are in this boxing ring called life we are going to receive many punches, but once hit enough we learn to punch back. We learn to fight for our own self worth.

Today, as you’re taking these punches, take a deep breath and know that you are a fighter. Hop onto YouTube and type in Triumph… Fight the good Fight.

The Hierophant

Today’s card is the Hierophant. In some cards they refer to this as the pope or some sort of religious figure. I’m not fond of religion and some folks mistake religion for spirituality and vise-versa.

To me religion is suppression and a poison but there is a double edged sword that I have to acknowledge… it seems to work for some, and some of those people that it does work for I have a deep respect for.

I’m not here to interject my disclaimer (although I guess I just did). I am here to talk about spirituality and all of the mysteries of the world as much as I can in this limited space.

The Hierophant is a huge man being who has united duality within themselves. I look at people like Jesus, The Dalai Lama, Krishna, Buddha. Enlightened beings who can see both sides of the coin, who teach compassion instead of war, both for themselves and others.

I believe that everyone has the capacity to play this role, to be an example, to always be searching for a higher and better stature within themselves. .
I have the Flower of Life on my chest. This signifies that all of the elements are right there, we are born with everything, there is nothing within us that you can’t find in any great teacher. We are not ‘flawed’. There is no being greater than us, no more than our parents are greater than we are. There is a catch though…

What we believe we are, is who we become.

So start believing that you are the Hierophant. Find inspiration in everyone and everything. Be open to the forces around you and today you may learn something new.

The Sacred Clown

Today’s card is the Sacred Clown, or The Fool in traditional tarot.

What the Sacred Clown is telling us is that we are not here to take life so seriously. We are here to explore, to take risks, to fail, to get back up and brush it off.

As children we first learn to crawl, and then we decided to walk… repeatedly we fell, but that didn’t stop us from doing it again and again, and if that wasn’t enough we took it a step (pun intended) further to running. Then we got our first bicycle, skateboard, climbed trees, rappelled off of mountains, etc. Fear was not in our vocabulary. We did things out of curiosity. We took those leaps of faith in love.

Every single one of us has broken out of our box and experienced something uncomfortable and unexpected. It’s in our human nature.

The Sacred Clown is reminding you of all of these times you’ve taken these leaps and is reminding you to never stop taking them.

What will you do today to break out of your comfort zone? Tap into that inner child who has never been afraid, always curious, always ready to live life to the fullest.
