Welcome to Friday, December 22nd which is an 8 in Numerology and is also a Master Number Day (22)!

Today’s card is the Death card. Don’t let that frighten you. Death is nothing more than change. It’s apropos that we are afraid of death because we are just as petrified of change. The number 8’s vibration says it’s a Master of Spiritual Power AND with today’s date, the 22nd, double that Power!

So what is this saying to us?

Don’t be afraid to access your Spiritual Power. Once you do this, change will come quickly and easily. There is a saying in the spiritual community that says, ‘What you resist, persists.’. An explanation for this which Carl Yung once wrote about is that when you are resisting something you are focusing on what you are resisting. If you weren’t focusing on it, you wouldn’t be resisting it.

Here is an example; When I say, “Don’t look at that Red Car.” Where does your attention go to? It goes to the car. We can’t help it, that’s how our minds operate. So, whatever you might be resisting, say, smoking, your attention will still be on smoking. The only way to stop resistance is to focus on something else.

So David, what’s your point?

Whatever is scaring you right now, don’t focus on what scares you… just do it. Just move forward and embrace the change. I guarantee you will come out on the other side saying, “That wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.”

All Monkey’s Go to Heaven

Welcome to Thursday, December 21st which is a 7 in Numerology and is also the first day of the Winter Solstice.

Today’s card is the Knight of Swords. Look at his eyes… they are like laser’s pointing toward a goal. A good expression for today would be, ‘No Holds Barred’. Having absolutely no limitations or restrictions. Combined with the energy of the 7 which is telling us to go within, get precise. What is it that we want to say today? Make everything you say and do today count.

What is your soul purpose?

That is what should be expressed. Don’t skirt around what needs to be said. Now, I’m not saying to go off on people. Not at all, that is fear (False. Evidence. Appearing. Real.). If expressed in that fashion you are masking what you really want to say. Make each of these expressions in love ONLY.

We know what our goals are deep inside. For some, it is just to be loved, for others it may be fame, and others fortune. If you express these goals with love you will find your path unfolding in front of you because the Universe wants you to succeed. When we express outwardly that we don’t know what our goals are, inside we are thinking they are unattainable, that they are stupid.

Remember when you were a child and you would make believe? Get into that space again today. It may seem silly, but that is our truest self-expression.

Take off the Mask

Welcome to Wednesday, December 20th which is a 6 in Numerology.

Look at the masks on today’s card and look at the stern look on the woman’s face in the background. The 6 being the vibration of needing security without restraints. What does this say to you?

So few of us are willing to take the masks off of our faces, afraid of what the world might think when they see our true selves. Social media is a great place to hide behind a mask. Have you ever been on a dating site and then met the person on the other side? I have. I remember quite a few times the other person saying to me, “Wow. You look exactly like your profile picture.” I would think to myself… “Um… why wouldn’t I?”. I also remember doing one of these ‘dates’ and not recognizing the other person at all. I mean, they looked nothing like their profile picture, and the look on their faces said, ‘busted’.

Why are people hiding behind these masks?

In their defense, they are projecting who they would like to be. This is who they see themselves as and they live the role of this perceived self online. They get to test the waters in this dreamworld. The only problem with this experiment is that it rarely translates well in the real world, so they never get out from behind the keyboard.

Today is a great day to say ‘fuck it’. Take off the mask and allow yourself to be you. When you do this it is guaranteed that people will run away. It will be scary because you’re going to have to own your own shit. But, your real friends will praise you for taking off the mask because they know who you really are, they have seen behind the mask and have just been patiently waiting for you to do so.

Here Comes The Sun

Welcome to Tuesday, December 19th which is a 5 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the Sun and today’s number 5 vibration is of constant change. The 5 senses. And I have to tell you that this morning all 6 of my senses were alive. Yes, 6. Touch, Taste, Smell, Hearing, Seeing and the 6th sense from my 3rd eye sensing that all was awake and alive within myself as well as the trees, the grass, the animals… an ethereal gratitude thanking the Sun because without it we would be plunged into eternal darkness. The morning Sun has always been my favorite, and here in Denver, the chill combined with the heat of the Sun seems to awaken all of these senses in me.

The metaphysical meaning of the Sun is that of being awake. Seeing what was once unseen. Seeing clearer and seeing within things. The Sun within us shines brightly when we purge ourselves of the things that don’t matter. The things that we’ve somehow hung onto because we thought we had to. Our inner Sun when shining outward allows us to be naked to the world. Unafraid of being exposed because there really is nothing to hide.

Today, be you. Expose yourself to the world. Let your inner light shine brightly. If it blinds some, that is ok. Some don’t want to see their own light out of fear but by shining yours maybe, just maybe they will allow themselves the pleasure.

Welcome to Monday, December 18th which is a 4 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the 2 of Swords which in traditional decks there depicts a blindfolded woman. In this deck, there is a calm river and rolling hills with a mountain in the background. You need to be at peace with something. There is that saying, “Let go. Let God.” It’s a difficult thing to do, especially with the 4 energy. The 4 energy is a bit of a control freak. It’s used to working hard on something and having all of the answers. So today could be a little bit of a struggle.

Peace has never been easy on this plane. It seems like we are always fighting over something. It’s days like today, with this predominant energy to be ‘right’ where some really heavy shit could get stirred up. So mind yourself. Sit still and let the feelings flow. That insecurity of ‘not knowing’ is going to really eat at you today, but you will find that sometimes ‘not knowing’ is the best thing that could have ever happened to you.

I see this a lot in relationships. Like, when a lover doesn’t say ‘I love you’, the other questions their loyalty. Some say it because they desperately want to hear it said back to them. The mirror. The unknowing kills them. Instead of trusting and just going with the flow.

It’s a hard lesson that most of us in the spiritual community have had to look at. So, what is the lesson of not knowing?

It’s letting us know that we can have peace in our lives without having to control a situation. Control of a situation is just the fear that we are not loved. It is letting us know that when we love ourselves it won’t matter if we know or not know anything outside of ourselves. The winds of change can blow or not… we will feel the same about ourselves.

Newborn Awakening

Welcome to Sunday, December 17th which is a 3 in Numerology.

Today’s card is The Fool and the number 3 is known as The Joker. Don’t be fooled by this though (pun totally intended). The 3 is the trine; mind, body, spirit. The Fool is like a newborn child in all of its naiveté… not stupid or aloof, but anew. A child has not yet been indoctrinated into the world of illusion. He/She is innocent and wide-eyed to the world around them. Open to all possibilities.

This is where we are today. Yesterday we mentioned getting rid of the old crap in our lives, the belief systems that we’ve built up around us. The beat-up mode or the narcissist. All learned traits from being hurt. All of that is wiped out today as if it never happened.

Today… look at everything around you as a child does. See the beauty in everything. Look at your partner in a new unconditioned light. Remind yourself that everything that you have seen prior to today came with a precognition… a false precognition, mind you because your supposed ‘esp’ was nothing more than what you’ve made up in your head about everything and everyone you’ve seen because of learned patterns.

I will use one of my favorite singer/songwriters as a prime example here; Jim Morrison. As aloof as he was, as childlike as he seemed… there was a deep knowledge within this Fool that most never tap into.

Poison Years

Welcome to Saturday, December 16th which is an 11 in Numerology.

Today’s card in the Judgement card and combined with the 11 this is an extremely powerful day for each and every one of us. The 11 is the Master Number of illumination and enlightenment.

The universe has an amazing way of letting us know about these things. I wasn’t sure how I would elaborate on Judgement, so using myself today is appropriate.

Today I almost killed my dog, Eyeballs. Literally. I fed him a grape and we had to take him to the vet. I immediately went into beat-up mode. “How could I do something so stupid? I always do the stupidest things. I’m such an idiot.”

STOP!

Bam! It hit me what I was doing. I was judging myself for a simple mistake. You see… we have two different personalities when it comes to judgement. Some of us turn into the narcissist and blame everyone around us, and the other (me), which is obvious by my behavior, blame ourselves. We are our biggest critics. Most writers I know are this way, so it wasn’t hard for me to find a song about self-loathing. It was actually scary how easy it was to pull out of my archive.

Regardless of which type you are, today is the day to stop. These are all patterns, old behaviors, that have no constructive purpose in our future. Recognize your behaviors before universe slaps you in the face, like it did me today.
