Reiki

I’ve been doing Reiki now for the last couple of years. At first I wasn’t that confident with it. The Doubting Thomas in myself was huge. Once I moved up to Level II my hands started tingling, that feeling when you sit on your hands for awhile. Even the mention of Reiki now had my hands tingling.

Still the doubts.

But after working on several people and seeing the results, as well as them feeling the results… I’m talking long term results, not just…. “Oh Wow I feel great right now.”, I mean long time. I still keep in contact with these people to check in with them.

So now its evident to me that Reiki does in fact work. And with that being said, I am ready to move up to the next level.

Reiki Master.

I’m looking for someone in the Las Vegas area that can give me an attunement. If you are that person or you know a person, please shoot me an email.

Meeting an Idol

Being a Rock Vocalist I’m used to being on stage and meeting Rock Stars, but when I met Aerosmith this past weekend I was at a loss for words. Aerosmith and I share a lot of history. They aren’t aware of it, and I’m sure thousands upon thousands of people can say the same thing. It’s deep and its personal.

Coming from New England I remember first hearing this band from Boston. Hard edged. Hard Driving. They were like the Red Sox. No matter how many times they fell to their knees, broke up, rehab, etc…. we were always there to cheer them on. They were our boys. And now, like the Red Sox, they are on top and everyone is a fan. Worldwide.

Steven Tyler is the coolest human being I have ever met. It doesn’t matter his age. His soul is young and still vibrant. Two hours he went crazy on stage and I sang every word with him. How he does it, I don’t know. I was doing vocal warm-ups this morning and my voice is still a bit raw.

So, not only did I meet Aerosmith this weekend, the night before my band Electric Messiah opened up for LA Guns. We had an amazing show and will have videos and pictures to follow soon.

In the meantime, here are a few pics of this epic weekend.

Namaste,
David

Meditation Practice

Not sure how to meditate?

Let me help you… it’s actually pretty easy. Meditation doesn’t have to be you sitting in the lotus position in a Yoga studio chanting OM with a bunch of other like minded souls. You can do it just by focusing on something…. one thing. Try focusing on your body. How does it feel? Focus on that for starters. Before you know it you’ll be a meditation master!

I’ve been called a Day Dreamer a lot in my life… I’m sure there were times that I was daydreaming but for the most part I was meditating. I would do it anywhere. I found peace looking within. I got time to ask myself questions. Questions like; What’s next in your life Dave? What are you doing ‘wrong’ in your life and where can you improve it. Again, like I said, it isn’t always that. There have been plenty of times in my life where I’ve been ‘unconscious’ and just on remote control like a robot. Thank the Universe that I’ve been more awake than not. Anyway… I digress, this isn’t about me (silly Leo).

When can you meditate?

There is more time to meditate that you think…

Ever find yourself waiting in line at the grocery store? Or waiting in the car for someone who may be running an errand? Ever notice that during these times you pick up your phone to check your facebook or play a game?

Put down the phone. Put down any distraction. Take those times when you are waiting in line, waiting for a game to start, or a concert…. use that time. It was given to you. Consider it a freebie from the Universe to look inside of yourself.

If you are worried that people are going to look at you weird, don’t close your eyes… just do a body check. See what you are feeling. See what is going on around you. Do you notice all of the other people checking their phones? Do you see how much time you waste trying to be busy when you’ve got a lot of time to actually meditate.

I love what Wayne Dyer once said…. he meditates at stop lights. He said that guaranteed someone behind him would let him know when the light was changed. 🙂

So…. no excuses. You’ve got a lot of time to meditate.

Peace,

David

A Message from the Angel

I found this on the internet and thought I would share it. I’m not sure where it originated but this is a very powerful message passed on to be shared around the world, if this does not resonate with you, then you’re not yet awake, don’t take this as an insult because most of us have been asleep at one point or other in our lives and sometimes we still forget. So, don’t worry, they’ll be time.

I dream’t I met an Angel of God. Not sure what to say I asked, “Do you have time for a question?”

The Angel Smiled, “I don’t have any time… All I have is now.”

I smiled and asked, “What amazes you most about Humans?”

The Angel replied…

“You long for Peace… and are at war with yourself. You Seek Freedom… and you are already Free. You look for love… and you are Love itself. You’re afraid to open your heart… and your Heart is Always Open. You fear Death… and you are eternal Life.”

The Angel held my hand and we were silent for awhile. Then the Angel looked deep in my eyes and whispered these secrets….

“When you stop the war inside… you are the Peace Outside. When you fully open to your Fear… you can see fear is simply energy. When you meet death fully… you will see that you are The Life. When you are naked to yourself… you are free to be Yourself. Look deep within your heart and you will see you are Love. Forgive yourself so completely… your very presence Forgives. Live this moment so fully… you are Free as Freedom itself. Love yourself so deeply… when you see another… you see God.”

Overwhelmed with Love I whispered, “I am so deeply Grateful. Is there anything else you’d like to say before you go?”

The Angel smiled.

“All I have is Now… and Now is Always Here. Peace is Alive with You. You are Silence Supreme. This Silence is Peace on Earth. This is the End and the Beginning.”

Peace,
D

MetalTalk Review of ‘With The Beating Of Your Heart’ from the Rage of Angels album ‘Dreamworld’

Thank you Roger Berzerk Fauske for the fantastic review of the Rage of Angels album, Dreamworld, and the very, very kind words about me. I was blessed enough to get the call from Mr. Rylands to co-write and sing this song.

“So to With The Beating Of Your Heart’ and we are off into fully fledged ballad country with this one. Synth, piano and soulful vocals, guitar subtly woven into the tapestry. This one has David Reed Watson singing on it and whilst he isn’t one of the most recognisable names on the album, he puts in a stirring performance – if his name isn’t a household one (at least in houses where real music is played) in the not too distant future I will be a mite surprised. The haunting guitar rearing its head and perfectly filling the space adds a depth of sentiment and gravitas to the already passion filled track.

Whilst the guitar sticks to the tried and tested arrangement with the solo towards the end of the track, it is a powerful affair, accompanied by the now familiar backing vocals and if there wasn’t already enough sentiment in the song, the six strings pile it on even more.

Hands up those who sighed when the word ballad was mentioned – if you did, then you will more more than pleasantly surprised as this has as much to do with the ‘Every Rose Has It’s Thorn’ type pap as the X Factor has to do with music (in case you aren’t sure, that is nothing whatsoever). Another gem on a so far seriously good album.”

A special thanks to Tommy Denander for doing such an incredible solo for this song and to Ged Rylands for asking me to participate on this album.
