Happy New Year!

Welcome to Monday, January 1st, 2018 which is a 4 in Numerology and the first day in an 11 year. Not only that but today is the Full Super Moon in Cancer which is called the Wolf Moon.

Yesterday I had mentioned that 2017 was brutal for most. After deep reflection, I noticed that for myself every hardship that I went through was preparing me for this year. Take a look at 2017 and you too will notice the lessons you have learned.

Today’s card is The Star and with today’s 4 energy it is telling us this. They are saying that everything we have gone through, good or bad, has been for a reason. Some of those reasons might not be clear. Some of them might have hurt you really bad but I believe there is always a silver lining.

Tonight go and stare at the moon. Say a prayer to yourself that you will not beat yourself up anymore. Everything happens for a reason and everything is perfect. Reflect on the lessons of the past year and then write them down. I like to burn them afterward, a symbol of letting them go. Tonight when you go to bed ask your guides to show you the meaning of these lessons and when you wake tomorrow morning, write them down. Meditate on the answer and get ready for the magic of this new 11 year to unfold.

Adventure in Paradise

Welcome to Sunday, December 31st which is an 8 in Numerology and the last day in a 1 year.

This past year has been brutal for most people. The 1 year was a masculine year of the ego. 2018 is guaranteed to be different. Much different. 2018 is an 11 year. A Master Number and also a two which is the sacred feminine. What does this mean? It means we will be more in our heart and the people we banished, or let our egos get in the way of things will lessen. They will tone down. It’s no wonder that today’s card is preparing us for this.

Today’s card is the 4 of Swords, Truce, and combined with the vibration of 8 it is telling us to re-evaluate everything around us. The Truce card is not saying you are giving up on life… it is saying that you are giving up the fight and focusing more deeply on what your soul requires.

It is said that Pablo Picasso painted his masterpiece Les Demoiselles D’Avignon with the 4 of swords affixed to his studio door letting people know not to disturb him for he was in deep meditation.

Meditation is no more than focusing on one thing. Some do it by running, cycling, yoga or as Pablo did… painting.

Remember me talking about the gut, heart, and head? In the traditional tarot, the 4 of swords has a picture of three swords above the person depicted. One points to the head, the other to the heart, and the third to that person’s gut. With the Röhrig Tarot, in today’s card, it has a rock exploding out from underneath the ground creating a mountain for all to see.

That mountain is you. 2018 is your year to come out for all to see but it will require you to first affix the 4 of swords on your door.

Integration

Welcome to Saturday, December 30th which is a 7 in Numerology.

Today’s card is taken from the Shamanic Healing Oracle Cards which I got from my family for Christmas. Thank you. The card is Integration (33) and coupled with the vibration of the 7 we are called to listen to our inner voice. 7 is the most spiritual of all of the numbers, it is a hermit in a way. People might think of a 7 as stuck up but they are anything but… they are the loners and do a lot of thinking. So today’s card is perfect for this vibration.

As an empath, I am always picking up on what people are thinking vs. what they are saying. If you talk to any empath they will tell you this. Almost as if we have a ‘bullshit’ meter built into our psyche.

Does that mean that we ‘know’ everything that everyone is thinking? Don’t be scared. No… we don’t. It’s more of a feeling that something is ‘off’ if someone isn’t speaking their truth.

One of my friends in the spiritual world taught me about the 3 minds of the body. The Gut Mind is where you actually feel, The Heart Mind is where you emotionally feel, and the Brain is where you process logic. Most empaths (if in tune with their bodies) listen to their gut.

Most of society has it backward. They deal with things mostly through their brain (logic), or through their heart alone (emotions) and never listen to their gut. Once you start listening to your gut you will start to see where your heart and brain interfere with the real truth. Now, am I saying to shut out your heart and your brain completely? Not at all. A good balance of the 3 is a good start.

How do I do that?

As I say all the time. Go within. Start your day with a brief meditation. Scan your body. How does it feel? Are you nervous? Sad? Jealous? Angry? Look at that and then start asking yourself why? As you start to do this every day you will start to understand why some of your impulses are driving you instead of you holding the wheel..

Shine

Welcome to Friday, December 29th which is a 6 in Numerology.

The Sun shines down on us every day and each and every one of us feels its warmth. It doesn’t matter if you are black, white, gay, straight, self-loathing or a Narcissist. It shines equally. Coupled with the energy of the 6 they are telling us that it is our responsibility to shine and give our light to everybody. Everybody is deserving of our light.

When we start picking and choosing who to share our light with that is when darkness sets in. Darkness, metaphorically, is fear (False Evidence Appearing Real). When the darkness starts to set in we start to pick and choose who is deserving of our light and who isn’t.

Being of service, like the Sun, should be our highest calling. When I sing to people, when I’m looking at them in the crowd, I am not focusing on who is deserving of my light or not. I am grateful that I get to shine my light for everybody because there might be that person out there who needs to see this light, so who am I to take that away from someone?

There are people in our lives who have done us wrong, have shamed us, who have stolen from us. These are the people that need our light the most. It has nothing to do with us at all. It is their fear that makes them act the way they do.

There is a line in one of the new songs off of Kill Ritual’s album ‘All Men Shall Fall’. It says, “Be the light you wish to look upon. Be the one to shine.”

So today… don’t take anything personally. It again has nothing to do with you. Your responsibility is to shine your light as brightly as you can.

Passion for Purpose

Welcome to Thursday, December 28th which is a 5 in Numerology.

Today I am using a new deck that I received for Christmas. It’s the Rumi Oracle. An absolutely beautiful deck with some deep meaningful energy.

Today’s card is the Passion for Purpose card along with the 5 energy of freedom in action and un-attachment it is telling us to keep following our passion. It is very easy for us to give up our passions in this society. There are so many distractions around us that we can get lost in the day and never accomplish anything. Even if it means just doing one thing a day to get you one step closer to that goal, then you are at least moving forward.

I am speaking from experience. I understand the feelings of ‘responsibilities’ and what I ‘should’ do. As a male, society wants me to be the provider. It is telling me to have a good secure job so that I am an asset. I’ve had the nice house, cars, wife, etc. I’ve tried to be that male persona. I even went so far as to cut off all of my hair and quit music for a while. I would distract myself with other things; I raced Mountain Bikes and I was a Graphic Designer in Advertising, both of which I became very passionate about but there was something still eating me inside.

I believe I was born a singer. How do I know this? Because every day I wake up ready to write, record, play guitar, expand my range both vocally and spiritually. Because when I try to hide it I become extremely depressed.

What are you hiding? What are you afraid to let out of that closet, buried beneath years of masks?

As Rumi explains in this card… Birds were given air to fly. Bees were given powerful wings to move their bodies. And we were given life to follow our passions so that we can share our gifts, inspire others, and to leave our legacy.

Breaking the Chains

Welcome to Wednesday, December 27th which is a 4 in Numerology.

Today’s card is The Tower combined with the 4 energy (change, co-operation, responsibility) is telling us that our old beliefs aren’t working for us. This tower that we have built up over the years is crumbling. Our old belief system might have worked for us at one point in time, but change is the only constant in this universe.

Write down some of your old beliefs. Look at them and see why they served you at one time, but now no longer do.

I’ve said this repeatedly… The acronym for fear is False Evidence Appearing Real. The only reason we hang on to our old belief systems is that the fear of not knowing seems worse than what we are hanging on to. Let me give you an example…

I had a boss years ago who was grumbling about how his lawyer was screwing him. I said to him, “Why don’t you just get another lawyer?” He said to me that he has had this same lawyer for years and if he got a new lawyer he was positive the new lawyer would screw him as well, but at least he knew HOW the old lawyer was going to screw him.

It seems ridiculous, but that is how most of us operate. We become familiar with patterns and those patterns become comforting no matter how good or how bad.

As within, So without.

Welcome to Tuesday, December 26th which is a 3 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the 8 of Disks, Prudence, along with the 3 energy they are asking us to come out to play. It is the end of a cycle and you are anew. There is some deep wisdom that has been brewing beneath the surface and today is the day to bring it out and shine.

There is an expression that I picked up while reading the Kybalion. One of the seven Hermetic Principles is the Principle of Correspondence.

As above, so below; As below, so above.

The same goes with inner and outer, up and down, etc. What you think inside mirrors what is outside. If you think the world is shit… then it is. Is this a Pollyanna Hippy Dippy fairytale kind of talk? No. It’s science. You can experiment with it and see the results yourself.

All of your dreams and desires can and will come true if you focus first on the inside. Feel what it feels like. I do this kind of visualization before I go on stage. I run the whole show through my head. I see the crowd, the band, everything. I hear me singing like a bird. When I don’t do this I have a less than stellar performance, one of them being fairly recently. If you were there, you knew. So… take it from me. It works.

But, like the song states today… you’ve got to come out and play. Test the waters. You can’t hide inside your head. There needs to be a balance of both.

A lot of people never get out of their head because past results have been horrible. You need to change your mindset. If you wish for something know that it comes when you need it to come, not when you want it to come. Your ego ‘wants’ it to come but your soul knows when the right time is. A good way to think of this earth plane is to think of the manifestation process as having to come through a wall of molasses. It’s almost as if the Universe is asking you, “Are you sure you want this or is this just what you want right now?”

So… keep focusing on what you want repeatedly and you will eventually see your results. Trust the Process.
