Bassist and Drummer for upcoming Tour Announced
For the last few months you’ve watched us shuffle around getting ready for this tour. You’ve seen members leave because they can’t commit to touring, others jump in to help us with gigs we had committed to…. to now.
After searching long and hard for the right people to do this tour, we’re one step closer to what we have been searching so very hard for….
Let me start by saying this… Touring isn’t for everyone. It takes a lot of commitment and a lot of time and money. Unless you’re Black Sabbath or Metallica you can’t just hand a Million Dollar check over to a new member and welcome them aboard. As most touring musicians that are trying to establish a name for themselves know, it’s finding people that are committed enough to leave their day jobs, with enough foresight to somehow know that there are bigger and better things for them. It’s a hard sell and not many are willing to make that commitment. You really need to be a dreamer, a realist, and motivated as all hell.
That brings me to this….
We’d like you to welcome Bassist and Drummer for our 2016 Spring Tour. It will be fun working with them for this tour until we find permanent members for our next album.

We’re looking forward to touring with these guys. With over 7,000 miles of traveling, 20 cities in 26 days we will get to know each other pretty well. Please follow our tour schedule here on a group that we’ve made on Facebook

Stone Temple Pilots Auditions
This past month a few friends and I did a Scott Weiland Memorial show at Vamp’d in Las Vegas. We honestly weren’t expecting a big turnout, we just wanted to do it to honor a man with a lot of talent that, unfortunately, had an addiction the he could no longer control and left this planet far too early. We see it a lot in the music world. Musicians are sensitive creatures.
Anyway, you all know me well enough to know that I love what I do and that I put my heart and soul into everything that I’m involved with. So when the opportunity came along to actually audition for Stone Temple Pilots, it was something that I could not pass up. This by no means downplays my involvement with Kill Ritual. Not in the least. We have a tour coming up in March that I am very excited for and Steven and I have been working our asses off to make happen.
Please continue to support me as you’ve all done so well, and continue to support my band Kill Ritual.
Enjoy these audition videos I’ve done for STP.
Peace!!!

ABOUT Kill Ritual
Formed in 2010 by former members of Imagika, Dark Angel, and Eldritch, Kill Ritual launched themselves into the metal world with their debut CD “The Serpentine Ritual” in 2012 on Scarlet Records and the band was immediately rewarded with great reviews and positive reaction from fans around the world. The band then completed a US tour in the fall of 2013 and followed it up with the release of their 2014 CD “The Eyes Of Medusa” on Golden Core/ZYX and again received great press and accolades from fans worldwide.
February 2015: Kill Ritual recruit Vocalist David Reed Watson (Rage of Angels, D.N.A., Electric Messiah, The Constant) to record their new CD “Karma Machine”.

We’d like to welcome Alex Von Kraven who will be sharing the stage with us, starting at NAMM and then on to our Spring Tour starting in late February. Alex has quite an impressive resume with bands like; Heaven’s Fire, Moxy, Eternal Halloween and now us. Alex uses (and abuses) Mapex Drums, Zildjian, Los Cabos Drumsticks, Evans Drumheads. Find out more about Alex on his webpage. We’re pretty excited with this new lineup and can’t wait to play together.

Happy New Year-ish!
Happy New Year!
Yes, I know… I’m a week late. What can I say, the party never seems to stop here in Vegas. Ok, it’s not just partying… I’ve been busy with the Kill Ritual camp, setting ourselves up with new Management, Touring Company and updating the member roster. So where do I start?
First, I’d like to thank you for reading my blog. It really means a lot to me. It seems, from the reports I got for WordPress that this blog was read by 3,400 people in 2015. I think that’s pretty cool because I didn’t think that anybody read my ramblings.
So Kill Ritual is starting 2016 off with new Management. We’ve been talking to them for a few months to feel out what they do, how long they’ve been around and I’m sure they’ve done the same with us. We’re going with Extreme Management Group who have worked with some pretty big metal bands and have them playing festivals like the Tuska Open Air Metal Festival, Roskilde Festival, and my favorite…. Wacken! I’m really looking forward to working with them.
We’ve been getting everything ready for NAMM which starts in just a few weeks from now in Anaheim, CA where we’ll be opening up for Graham Bonnet. Graham, if you’re unfamiliar with his work has sung for Rainbow, the Michael Schenker Group, Alcatrazz, and Impellitteri. This should be a fun show for us, seeing as I’ve never played at NAMM before. We also start our Tour on February 29th in Sacramento, CA. You can track our tour schedule on BandsinTown, Kill Ritual Web, KR Twitter or on our Facebook Page. We’ll be out on the road all most all of March heading up the coast of California, Oregon, Washington, Canada, Montana, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Missouri, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, back home to Vegas for me, then back into California. It will be a pretty good first run.
Last but not least, we have added a second guitarist to the band. Byron Nemeth will be heading out on the road with us so we’re getting things tight right now. 2016 is going to be one hell of a year.
Peace,
David
Byron Nemeth signs with Kill Ritual

From Byron’s website, “As most of my music friends have been wondering what I have been up to musically lately I would like to officially announce that I have joined California Bay Area band KILL RITUAL! — I will be joining as 2nd lead guitarist along with being a songwriter in future recordings. KILL RITUAL is led by amazing guitarist/songwriter Steven D. Rice and powerhouse vocalist David Reed Watson. Steven has a long established history in Bay Area and in 2015 released the new CD “Karma Machine” along with the video [for the song Rise] that was mixed/mastered by guitar legend, King Diamond member, Andy LaRocque at his Sonic Train Studios. Debut show is NAMM Week Friday January 22nd at Malone’s in California followed by a spring tour starting February 29th.I feel privileged edged to be working with these professionals and am looking forward to exciting musical times!”
