Priorities

Welcome to Sunday, November 26th which is an 11 in Numerology.

An 11 is a Master Number. What it is asking us, along with today’s card, Priorities, is if we are centered or off-kilter? Well… I can tell you I was WAY off kilter last night. Let’s just say that Tequila and toilets don’t mix. It was an important lesson for me to realize how far off I am at the present moment. I know now why I go on a tear quarterly… it’s because all of the pressure of life has built up and I need a release.

When I don’t have my priorities in order I start to neglect the ones that are closest to me. Subconsciously I know that they are my first priority, but we have a tendency to get ‘busy’. They say that the acronym for ‘BUSY’ is Being Under Satan’s Yoke. When we are under ‘Satan’s Yoke’ we are basically not living at our highest potential. Kind of like what I was talking about the other day with multi-tasking. When we are doing this we never can focus on the one true thing that heals our souls. For me, it’s music.

Where have you gotten ‘busy’ in your life? What are your priorities? And what gets you ‘off-kilter’?

Today’s song is; Disarm by the Smashing Pumpkins

“Disarm you with a smile and leave you like they left me here, to wither in denial.”

The Great Sun Jester

Welcome to Saturday, November 25th which is a 1 in Numerology.

Manifestations begin today! The 1 is the ‘new’ beginning. The beginning of the cycle. You might have new insights today on how to differently accomplish a task that has been on your mind for a bit.

Today’s card is the Tracker. The tracker stays focused and that is why they are so good at what they do. They focus on one thing and maintain that focus until the task at hand is complete. So, for today, since it is a new cycle it is a great time to create a discipline and concentrate on that one thing that means the most to you. Your relationships are always the first priority.

When we focus on one thing all other things fall into place. We have a tendency in today’s society to ‘multi-task’. It’s a proven fact that multi-tasking takes away your ability to do the best you possibly can on one thing. And the more you multi-task, the worse your performance is.

So, for today… try putting your phone down when you are talking to someone. Concentrate on the person in front of you. Notice what you get when you do that. Are you nervous? Are your eyes shifting away from theirs? When you are in your car, turn off your phone. I know many people that do this and they will answer their messages the next time they stop. When you are working on a project, put everything else aside and focus on the task at hand.

Today’s society is so focused on instant gratification. We know though that the best things in life are the things that take time, the things that have to grow and gestate. Be still your mind.

Today’s song is; The Great Sun Jester by Blue Oyster Cult

“And he took the stars in his hands and as he scattered them he’d shout, “I’m the joker of the Universe. I’m what it’s all about!””

Cloudbusting

Welcome to Friday, November 24th which is a 9 in Numerology.

The number 9 is the last number. The end before a new beginning of yet another cycle. What have you learned in this last cycle about yourself? The 9 carries the vibration of inner wisdom, forgiveness, and optimism. Anything that you haven’t let go of yet… now is the time to let it blow away in the wind.

Today’s card is; Medicine Woman / Medicine Man

We are all healers. Some of us are tapped into that energy and others aren’t. We are all part of the collective conscious and can tap into that energy with a little discipline and faith. Some call that consciousness God, others call it Spirit. Whatever you call it, know that it is just as much a part of you as you are of it. You are not separate.

The Medicine Woman / Medicine Man is there for you when you need them. All you have to do is ask. There is no need for suffering. Too many of us out there believe that we are here to suffer. I don’t buy into that Dogma. That is programmed into us at an early age. We are here to learn, to grow, and to take what lessons we have learned here on this Earth plane to our next journey. If you don’t believe in reincarnation, that is fine. The lesson is the same.

Learn. Grow. Love. Give back what you have learned to those who ask for it and send love to those that don’t ask for it. We are all one.

Today’s song is; Cloudbusting by Kate Bush

“I just know that something good is going to happen. I don’t know when, but just saying it could even make it happen.”

Spirit Keeper of the South

Welcome to Thursday, November 23rd which is an 8 in Numerology.

The 8 is about giving and receiving… those are a few of the positive aspects, which for a day like today, Thanksgiving, it is good for our soul as long as we don’t fall into the negative aspects which are control, single-mindedness, and manipulation.

This Karmic number combined with today’s card, Spirit Keeper of the South, it is reminding us to let our light shine. Be you today and watch how your friends, the people you love, come together and acknowledge each other for being the individuals that they are.

The Native American medicine wheel, the south side of it, represents the noonday sun, harmony, and rapid growth. The Spirit Keeper of the South, Shawnodese, the manifestation of the Coyote. The Coyote is the teacher, guiding us through life and all of our lessons.

I think you’re starting to see a theme here, I hope.

On this day, what we call Thanksgiving, for the Native Americans it is not a memorable occasion, it is a day of mourning. As Michael Horse states, “It’s about reflecting, remembering and celebrating that we are still here and our culture still survives.”

I’m not trying to bring you down. I just want you to recognize this day differently that you have in the past. All people are equal. And as we used to say in the Marines, “You are only as strong as your weakest link.”

Today’s song is; People of the South Wind by Kansas

“People of the wind. I want to see ’em again. It’s where we used to be free and that’s the place for me.”

Magic!

Welcome to Wednesday, November 22nd which is a 7 in Numerology.

The 7 has strong psychic tendencies. It’s a spiritual number and that of the Mystics! Yes, pretty cool, especially when combined with today’s card.

Magic!

Today I finished another journal. Every morning I get up and write 3 pages and when the journal is finally done, as this one was… I put it on the fire and burn it until there is nothing left. As it is burning in the fire pit I say a prayer. I thank my guides, my angels, the spirits around me for helping me let go of the past. Much like the Buddhists do with Mandalas. They spend hours on end making this geometric figure and then they destroy it.

It teaches us to not be attached to the past.

Yes, there have been times in my life where I’ve hung on to the past. I’ve kept journals in my library so I could look back and reflect on what I’ve been through. It’s a nostalgic gesture, but one that doesn’t really serve us at all times. Best to let go and move forward, as I have done this morning.

Today can be a magic day if we allow it to be or we can hang on to the past, longing for things that can never be again. Looking back and wishing we would have done things differently.

Everything is perfect and you are in the place you need to be right now. The only thing you can control is the now, and your future.

So… go make some magic!

Today’s song is; Magic Power by Triumph

“I’m young, I’m wild and I’m free. Got the magic power of the music in me.”

Knowledge in a Nutshell

Welcome to Tuesday, November 21st which is a 6 in Numerology.

The 6 is about truth, nurturing, harmony, peace, and justice. And today’s card is Knowledge.

When we look at this card we see a depiction of The Garden of Eden. The Church adopted the concept that knowledge is a temptation, that it is evil. I think quite the contrary.

Knowledge is about choice and responsibility. Knowledge is a threat to people in power because it makes people question authority. It makes them want something better for themselves, their family and their community. But we, as a society are so trained to not question authority and yet we see it time and time again where ‘authority’ fails us. But again, we the sheeple, buy into their bullshit.

Why do we let ourselves be sold into bondage?

We do it because it takes the responsibility away from us. If something goes wrong, it’s not our fault and we have somebody else to blame. Taking full responsibility for our choices means that we have nobody else to blame except for ourselves, and that is hard to do.

Believe it or not, I’m not trying to make this a political statement. What I’m trying to do is to get you to think for yourselves. Question everything around you. Go deep within yourselves and ask what is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ for YOU. Not for anybody else. For you alone. When you can see your truth it will allow you to start living your truth, and when you start living your truth that is when you start to become an example to others. It is not a selfish act, nor narcissistic.

Today’s song is; Nutshell by Alice in Chains

“… and yet I find repeating in my head if I can’t be my own I’d feel better dead.”

Peace!

Love is a doing word

Welcome to Monday, November 20th which is a 5 in Numerology.

The 5 represents stability or the attainment of greater stability. Curiosity, Freedom, and Change. It also represents the 5 senses, as well as unattachment.

Unattachment is what I would like to focus on today along with today’s card. Peace Offering.

When somebody says that they are sorry, why do we still have an attachment to what they were sorry for? Is it the trust of our own selves? Why are we not like a dog when spanked for peeing on the carpet? Does that dog forever regret doing what it did? No. Within a few minutes, they are back on our lap kissing our faces. They are unattached to the past.

Children are this way too until they are conditioned not to be. And why is that? They are usually conditioned to being sorry so that eventually the word sorry becomes part of their immediate vocabulary. They are sorry before they even do anything… just in case. I know… I still say I’m sorry a LOT. Even the most spiritual amongst us are still human. We are still learning and growing so when somebody says that we lack compassion it pisses us the fuck off. But, as a spiritual person, we look within ourselves to find out what the attachment is.

Being sorry has nothing to do with anybody but ourselves. It’s a self-worth issue. It’s feeling as if others are better than you are, or know better than you do. It’s ok to question yourself, your motives, and your actions. But it’s another thing altogether to do it all the time.

Remember… You are here for a reason. Those around you are here for a reason as well. We are all on this earth plane together, so why not get along? And as someone said recently, “If you didn’t have anything to learn you wouldn’t be here.”

Today’s song is; Teardrop by Massive Attack.

“Love, love is a verb. Love is a doing word. Fearless on my breath.”

.

Peace!
David
