God Fodder

Welcome to Sunday, December 3rd which is a 7 in Numerology.

The seven is the seeker of truth and with today’s card, The Hermit, it is once again a day to go inward. I think it’s a perfect day for this, a Sunday, which throughout history has been the day of rest, the day to be thankful for the things and people that are in our lives and to give praise to that which has created us.

Go within, start peeling the onion layers back and get to the root of who you are. The only way we can do this is to be alone, to isolate our thoughts. We can’t do this by being on the computer or talking on our cell phones. Leave those at home and take a walk up a mountain or by a river or ocean. I feel for today’s society and all of the technology. It has weakened our minds having all of this instantaneous information at our fingertips. It has made our minds race with unnecessary thoughts. When was the last time you escaped it all? What are you afraid of?

When I was young I remember hiking up mountains and sitting at the top. No distractions other than the birds and some scurrying chipmunks. I would sit up there and just watch the clouds for hours on end, feeling the sun on my body. There were no phones to distract me, nor computers. I could sit up there and daydream.

We once thought that being connected as we are today that it would serve us, but I think it has just distracted us.

So, for today… turn off the phone. Turn off the computer. Turn it all off and see what transpires. There might be thoughts that scare you, old thoughts, but there also might be brilliant ‘ah ha’ moments as well. Give it a go!

Today’s song is; Grey Cell Green by Ned’s Atomic Dustbin.

The Grand Illusion

Welcome to Saturday, December 2nd which is a 6 in Numerology.

I just started using this new Tarot Deck from the artist Röhrig. These came to me in an auction and I had no clue what I was getting, but after saging them and letting them ‘settle’ I could feel my energy flowing through them as if there is a ‘truth’ to them. Being that they are new to me, and me to the tarot I will interpret the best I can.

The Seven of cups, as stated on the top of the card, Debauch. Illusory success, lying, deceit, promises unfulfilled, vanity. As we go deeper we see empty cups and a flower dying. What would create such an illusion? Combine it with the 6 vibration which wants to find balance the question comes to me as this…

Do you want to be happy or do you want to be right?

I could end this right there with that question but I will delve a little deeper. How many times have you stood behind something, believing it so much and so intently only to find out that it wasn’t what you thought it was? And how many times because of foolish pride did you still stand behind that belief? Now compound that into our society. We’ve heard this story before. One example being the ‘Hatfields and the McCoy’s’ in our U.S. History. Two families that hated each other so much, they would kill each other just for namesake. When confronted about the fight after a generation they had no idea what they were ever fighting for. Is it possible that is where we are today? Where you are today even?

Are you lying to yourself about something? Pretending and hoping that it will just go away?
So… once again, the question for today is; Do you want to be happy or do you want to be right?

Today’s song is; Grand Illusion by Styx.

“So if you think your life is complete confusion because you never win the game. Just remember that it’s a Grand Illusion and deep inside we’re all the same.”

Let that shit go!

Welcome to Friday, December 1st (Rabbit Rabbit) which is a 5 in Numerology.

If you’ve been following me along on this journey you will know that the number 5 represents the 5 senses.  It is the energy of freedom and constant change. When combined with the Death Card from the Tarot this means that you have a choice. You can hang in the past or you can let that shit go!

What serves you to hang onto the past? Is it an excuse?

Hanging onto the past ONLY serves as an excuse to not move forward. Why wouldn’t we want to move forward? Because knowing and not knowing have so much control over us in our lives which is all based on fear (False Evidence Appearing Real). We would rather have our hand cut off because knowing that is easier than not knowing if maybe our head could have been cut off instead!

The fear of the unknown stops us dead in our tracks more often than not. So how do we conquer that fear?

You have to sit with the fear and recognize where it came from. As I was mentioning on my radio show last night. You have to sit with yourself and peel back the onion layer. If you are not willing to go through this process, I’m afraid that it will just become a repeating pattern and the change that you want in your life will forever be out of reach.

So today’s card and number combination can be one of the best and most important signs that you could ever get. Move forward at all costs. Don’t let the fear control you. Don’t let your ego control you. Recognize everything outside of yourself as just that… external. Go within.

Today’s song is; Walk On by U2.

“You’re packing a suitcase for a place none of us has been. A place that has to be believed to be seen.”

The Budding Tree

Welcome to Thursday, November 30th which is a 6 in Numerology.

The vibration of the 6 represents nurturing, developing clear ideas and along with today’s card, the Prince of Swords it is a day to look deeply inward.

The Prince of Swords comes up when we need to focus on what our thoughts are. Too often we have a thought and it just flows away into our subconscious and doesn’t surface until another time, and usually, it’s not when you want it.

How often do we sit down and examine our thoughts? When somebody asks you a question about something, how often do you say, “I don’t know?”.

We do know, but it’s buried. We have never developed the thought… it just washes away as soon as it enters.

Social media is a great example of not developing our thoughts. So much information passes by us that we look at for a second and then let it go, moving on to the next pretty picture. It’s a temporary high, but most of us aren’t even sure why. Our attention spans have gone down to mere seconds. If we aren’t satisfied in the first few seconds we move on to the next thing.

Today… I want you to examine your thoughts. Ask yourself why you believe what you believe? Why do you listen to the music that you listen to? Why are you surrounded by the friends that you have? The list goes on… really sit there and examine each one. Look deeply into the question and you will find an answer that you probably weren’t expecting.

Today’s song is; Budding Trees by Nahko and Medicine for the People.

“So, tap me out and tap me into you. Heal my brain and my body too. Balance my chemistry, hydrate these cells cause the body talks and meditation helps.”

The Sun

Welcome to Wednesday, November 29th which is a 5 in Numerology.

The only constant is change.

Today’s card, The Sun, along with the Numerological vibration of the 5 we are shown a new path. The Sun is saying that everything is finally out in the open and there is nothing to be afraid of. You can now ‘see’ the path you are on and you are excited!

The 5 energy is filled with freedom and change. We have five senses in the 3D. Sight, Hearing, Taste, Smell, and Touch. When all of these senses are alive and vibrating at a higher frequency (i.e., when we’re happy) we start tapping into the 4D with what people call our ‘6th sense’ which is our intuition, our 3rd eye.

When we are well on our chosen path we have more obstacles in our way. The path less traveled is not clear, it doesn’t have a nice paved road with traffic lights, signs and other drivers. It’s cold, rutted, desolate. There are trees down over it which you must traverse. If you get a flat, there are few, if any other drivers on the road to pull over and help you. You are alone, for the most part.

But, when we know this and even just a hint of Sun comes out we are elated! We are given hope.

So, if you feel like the Sun isn’t shining on your path go out and find your tribe! They are out there. You just need to look a little more closely.

Today’s song is; Here comes the Sun by George Harrison (My favorite Beatle).

New Life

Welcome to Tuesday, November 28th which is a 4 in Numerology.

Hard work is the experience of the 4 vibration as ideas are manifested into reality. The 4 energy when it is at its highest vibration is focused, driven and dedicated but when it sinks down and gets too cerebral it can become depressed, angry and scattered.

So, today… stay positive! It’s easy to sink down into the mire with all of the intricacies of life. When you have your vibration high the intuitive sense is aware and awake.

Along with today’s card, New Life, it is letting us know that we are well on our path when in this high vibration and even though things are tough we wouldn’t want it any other way. Earning what we get is so much more valuable than having it handed to us on a silver platter. All of the blood, sweat, and tears of working your tail off has its rewards. Like doing yardwork all day and finally sitting down with a cold glass of lemonade. Ahhh!

Today’s song is; Something for Nothing by Rush

“You don’t get something for nothing. You can’t have freedom for free. You won’t get wise with the sleep still in your eyes no matter what your dream might be.”

Survival

Welcome to Monday, November 27th which is a 3 in Numerology.

Before I get started with today’s blog I want to let everyone know that I am taking down ‘The Reiki Rocker’ website and consolidating it into my ‘David Reed Watson’ website. I was trying to keep my spirituality and my music separate but then I took a good hard look at myself and asked why? I am who I am and I will attract what I put out.

So… on to today’s card…

The 3 symbolizes the principles of growth. The 3 tends to be the joker, but with every joker, we know that there is a deep seeded need for healing. Some of the best and most revered comedians where also the most depressed, i.e., Robin Williams.

We ask ourselves this question when we lose people in our lives to depression…

“I never thought someone with everything that they had could take their life.”

We never see it coming because anytime anybody ever talks about their depression we have our go-to answer ready in our back pocket for them.

“It will pass.”, “You’ll be fine.”, etc., etc…

Do we do this because we don’t have time to hear about anybody else’s problems? Do we automatically think of these people as crybabies or people that just can’t handle reality? So, we mask their pain with pills so they don’t have to feel and so that we don’t have to deal with their pain.

I made this statement a few days ago in one of my blogs… We are only as strong as our weakest link, so if you see somebody with depression, just listen to them. That’s all you have to do. You don’t have to try to fix them because they have all of the tools inside to fix themselves… they just want to be heard, to be held, to be loved.

Today’s song is; Come Healing by Leonard Cohen.

“The splinters that you carry. The cross you left behind. Come healing of the body. Come healing of the mind.”
