Welcome to Monday, December 18th which is a 4 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the 2 of Swords which in traditional decks there depicts a blindfolded woman. In this deck, there is a calm river and rolling hills with a mountain in the background. You need to be at peace with something. There is that saying, “Let go. Let God.” It’s a difficult thing to do, especially with the 4 energy. The 4 energy is a bit of a control freak. It’s used to working hard on something and having all of the answers. So today could be a little bit of a struggle.

Peace has never been easy on this plane. It seems like we are always fighting over something. It’s days like today, with this predominant energy to be ‘right’ where some really heavy shit could get stirred up. So mind yourself. Sit still and let the feelings flow. That insecurity of ‘not knowing’ is going to really eat at you today, but you will find that sometimes ‘not knowing’ is the best thing that could have ever happened to you.

I see this a lot in relationships. Like, when a lover doesn’t say ‘I love you’, the other questions their loyalty. Some say it because they desperately want to hear it said back to them. The mirror. The unknowing kills them. Instead of trusting and just going with the flow.

It’s a hard lesson that most of us in the spiritual community have had to look at. So, what is the lesson of not knowing?

It’s letting us know that we can have peace in our lives without having to control a situation. Control of a situation is just the fear that we are not loved. It is letting us know that when we love ourselves it won’t matter if we know or not know anything outside of ourselves. The winds of change can blow or not… we will feel the same about ourselves.

Newborn Awakening

Welcome to Sunday, December 17th which is a 3 in Numerology.

Today’s card is The Fool and the number 3 is known as The Joker. Don’t be fooled by this though (pun totally intended). The 3 is the trine; mind, body, spirit. The Fool is like a newborn child in all of its naiveté… not stupid or aloof, but anew. A child has not yet been indoctrinated into the world of illusion. He/She is innocent and wide-eyed to the world around them. Open to all possibilities.

This is where we are today. Yesterday we mentioned getting rid of the old crap in our lives, the belief systems that we’ve built up around us. The beat-up mode or the narcissist. All learned traits from being hurt. All of that is wiped out today as if it never happened.

Today… look at everything around you as a child does. See the beauty in everything. Look at your partner in a new unconditioned light. Remind yourself that everything that you have seen prior to today came with a precognition… a false precognition, mind you because your supposed ‘esp’ was nothing more than what you’ve made up in your head about everything and everyone you’ve seen because of learned patterns.

I will use one of my favorite singer/songwriters as a prime example here; Jim Morrison. As aloof as he was, as childlike as he seemed… there was a deep knowledge within this Fool that most never tap into.

Poison Years

Welcome to Saturday, December 16th which is an 11 in Numerology.

Today’s card in the Judgement card and combined with the 11 this is an extremely powerful day for each and every one of us. The 11 is the Master Number of illumination and enlightenment.

The universe has an amazing way of letting us know about these things. I wasn’t sure how I would elaborate on Judgement, so using myself today is appropriate.

Today I almost killed my dog, Eyeballs. Literally. I fed him a grape and we had to take him to the vet. I immediately went into beat-up mode. “How could I do something so stupid? I always do the stupidest things. I’m such an idiot.”

STOP!

Bam! It hit me what I was doing. I was judging myself for a simple mistake. You see… we have two different personalities when it comes to judgement. Some of us turn into the narcissist and blame everyone around us, and the other (me), which is obvious by my behavior, blame ourselves. We are our biggest critics. Most writers I know are this way, so it wasn’t hard for me to find a song about self-loathing. It was actually scary how easy it was to pull out of my archive.

Regardless of which type you are, today is the day to stop. These are all patterns, old behaviors, that have no constructive purpose in our future. Recognize your behaviors before universe slaps you in the face, like it did me today.

Be the Change you wish to see

Welcome to Friday, December 15th which is a 1 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the Queen of Disks. She is the woman who can multitask at home, get the children out to school, make her home beautiful and be the stern Mom all at the same time. She knows that in order for those around her to learn and grow, she needs to be the example. Whatever she does will become a direct reflection to the ones she is nurturing. And with the number 1, it is a new beginning for you.

Is your world in chaos? Take some deep breathes and do something nice for yourself today. Go buy some flowers, put them around the house. Maybe find an old painting that you’ve always liked and that you’ve hidden under the bed, and hang it where you can see it.

We are in the season of giving and receiving. Most of us have a hard time with receiving because we don’t think that we’re worthy enough to receive. Look at receiving this way…

When you give to someone, how do you feel? You feel good right? When you give something to someone and they say, “Oh no, thank you, but I can’t accept this.” How do you feel? You feel rejected, right?

Now put yourself in the other person’s shoes. It’s not about you when you are receiving. Let them enjoy their moment of giving to you.

Life is a Mirror.

Whatever you are doing is a reflection, and if you are not receiving you are stopping the flow of energy. With giving there is receiving. It’s cyclical.

So, to recap here… the Queen of Disks gives and receives within her domain and she maintains this cycle to teach the ones she is nurturing that this cyclical nature is imperative for balance.

You Get What You Give

Welcome to Thursday, December 14th which is a 9 in Numerology.

Uncommon valor was a common virtue.

In WWII, 22 Marines were awarded Medals of Honor for their heroic actions. Their bravery went above and beyond themselves. What does it take to have that kind of courage? It takes a strong belief that what you are doing is bigger than yourself.

Today’s card is Virtue and combined with today’s number 9 (service to humanity, spiritual enlightenment, karma, life purpose, soul mission, completion) it is saying to us to really look deeply at what we are doing in this world. Are we contributing?

Some of the most successful people that we know of; be they Movie Star, Rock Star, Business Owner… the ones that we look at as having a high moral compass are the ones that tithe. It is said that Bill Gates has donated over $28 Billion in his lifetime and yet his wealth keeps amassing. It is estimated that he is worth $79 Billion. How is this possible?

The Law of Attraction states that whatever you focus on becomes your reality. Bill Gates has mastered the thought that he has more than enough to give, so, therefore, the Universe makes sure that he has more than enough to give. The more you give, the more you get. That’s how it works.

So how does this work on our level? The ones that only have $28 as opposed to $28 Billion?

Money is not the only thing that we can give. Like the Marines that I mentioned above… they gave of themselves. What, of yourself, can you give to the world freely? What are you willing to give?

Tap into that source.

The way to tap into that source is to get out of your heads! Follow your gut. Seriously, follow your gut. Be impulsive. Be adventurous. When you see someone with a scowl on their face, give them a smile. Give them a hug. As you practice this giving of yourself you will see how much easier it becomes, and eventually, you won’t give a damn what it looks like to others and therefore you will start attracting like-minded souls that are moving along on their quest just like you are.

Live Like You Were Dying

Welcome to Wednesday, December 13th which is an 8 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the 3 of cups (work) combined with the energy of the 8.

What they are telling us is that all of the hard work we’ve put into everything, all we’ve been striving for, will now pay off. Look at the man with all that he has been carrying on his back… he is still standing despite the weight. His legs are still strong and he’s got this. The words arbeit (job) and work are underneath him now. Soon he will be able to let the load float away. His job is done. Now it is time to reap the rewards.

Too many of us give up too soon. We half-ass things in our life, picking at straws, hoping that something is going to ‘stick’. The only thing that sticks is hard work. Blood, Sweat, and Tears.

For years as a Vocalist, I’ve never said no to anything that came before me because I knew innately that eventually all of my hard work would pay off. Striving for excellence does not mean once you reach excellence then it is time to do something… not in the least. Striving for excellence means falling. It means failing. It means humiliating yourself but still carrying that load, no matter how heavy it may seem.

So… whatever you are about to cash in, think about it. Have you done everything that you can possibly do on your end to fulfill your dream? If not… keep carrying that load.

Life is short. Live it to the absolute fullest at all costs. You may die right this moment while reading this, you might die in an hour, a day, a century… live every single second as if it was your last.

Today’s reading is dedicated to Warrel Dane‘s family and his bandmates in Sanctuary. Warrel Dane lived like he was dying. He lived life to the very fullest and died doing what he loved. You may grieve over his loss but look at him as an inspiration because he left something behind for all of us to remember which in a way makes him immortal.
